About
Brf Solrosen is a design concept for a modern residential community, a housing association website reimagined around the people who actually live there rather than the paperwork. Most association sites feel like a filing cabinet: useful if you know exactly what you are looking for, frustrating otherwise. I wanted to see what it would look like if one felt warm and welcoming instead.
The concept
The starting point was empathy for everyday residents. Someone trying to find when the laundry room is free, report a leaking tap, or understand a notice from the board should not have to dig. So the concept is organized around real moments in a resident’s life (moving in, living day to day, getting something fixed) instead of around the association’s internal structure. The visual language is calm, bright, and unmistakably home, leaning on soft color and friendly typography to feel like a place rather than an institution.
This was a design-focused project, so most of the work lived in Figma: user flows, layout explorations, a small component system, and high-fidelity mockups across both desktop and mobile. I spent real time on the small interactions and on how the whole thing would feel to move through, because in a concept like this the feeling is the entire point.
What I explored
Beyond the visuals, Solrosen was a chance to think hard about information architecture: how to take a genuinely broad pile of content, from booking to documents to contact details, and make it feel simple. Getting that structure right is invisible when it works and painfully obvious when it does not, and wrestling with it here sharpened how I approach navigation and hierarchy on every project since.
